Keeping Pigeons Off Brownstones

Bird pigeon control on manhattan brownstoneBirds and Pigeons can create big problems for NYC Brownstones, birds will nest and roost on various areas of the building. In particular they love the cornice ledges, architecture, windowsills, roof lines etc…. Further birds create all sorts of problems like droppings, health hazards, slip hazard & of course a huge eyesore. Standard Pest specialized in keeping bird off your brownstone, we offer the installation of various discrete physical deterrents to keep the birds off your building. We will install a discreet physical deterrent, spikes, stealth net, shock track etc.. Just give us a call and we will swing by to take a photo & measurements & provide you with an estimate for service.

Typically brownstones will require a lift to safely gain access to the cornice/roofline area. This is achieved by a lift rental. Typical charge is around $900.00.

Screen_Shot_2014-06-16_at_9.19.21_PM.pngHere is another Brownstone that had birds nesting above the doorway area. A stealth net was installed in order to completely eliminate all birds pigeons and small birds from nesting above the doorway. The nets are installed taught and do not sag making them almost invisible form the street.

Bird Net on Manhattan Cornice ledge

Check out the latest installation! This upper west side New York brownstone had pigeons roosting and loafing on the cornice ledge all day because they were nesting and living on the buildings cornice next door. While the birds were roosting on this building droppings were landing all over the building making a huge mess considering the brownstone was just redone this had to be stopped. The solution was to install a Stealth Net over the section of the cornice where the birds were nesting. The net completely eliminates the birds access to the cornice stopping all roosting and nesting. The stealth net camouflages in and is invisible from the street. Here is an up close photo while up on the lift.
