Our Integrated Pest Management Approach
Standard takes a very intelligent, analytical and strategic approach to combatting pests that are specific to each industry. When it comes to government or military offices, the spaces are usually medium-large sized so we are very methodical in planning instead of relying solely on chemical applications.
The first step our technicians take rely on physical exclusion or entrance denial methods. We inspect every inch of the premises and look for cracks, holes, and any other access point a pest may be able to travel from outside into you’re building. We’ll then make it our primary focus to seal up those areas and make any of those locations completely unattractive to incoming pests.
For outdoor and indoor control, we utilize physical control mechanisms and deterrents. A good example would be a bait station used to attract rodents and trap them. These are all excellent methods and are the first in a long line of solutions we utilize. However, if we’re still not getting the results that are necessary, we may need to move onto some type of limited material application which will be as non-toxic as possible. This is only absolutely necessary when our other methods of control are not working on all cylinders.
Performance Driven Operations & Reporting
You’ll be delighted to know that our technicians are equipped with handheld wireless technology and trained with the utmost in reporting-analysis techniques. Our IPM programs work the best when field technicians, staff and our head Entomologist put all the data together and analyze it. Field technicians will use bar code scanning so we know which areas have been checked on specific dates and readily provide communication into logbooks on-site solely for your staff to access. We can assure you that our service and techniques aren’t just effective, but as transparent as possible.
Bar-Code Monitoring & Analysis
Besides visual inspections and logbooks, we also make use of a professional barcode monitoring system which is used to target pest activity at any station we have scanned. This is a necessity so that we can save your time and money by only treating areas that have not been taken care of rather than creating redundancies. Our transparent reports will be able to tell you which stations were treated, pest activity found, sanitation issues (if any), pesticide usage, and much more.
Simple Communication With Our Highly Trained Technicians
Whether it’s between communication of our on-site field technician(s) or office staff, you’ll find us to be a delight to work with. We will even provide your staff with on-site training if needed or requested, especially if we encounter sanitation issues. As a local New York City based company, our technicians are available at a moment’s notice and scheduling can be flexible enough to fit your facility’s timeline.
Did we mention that we are also highly specialized when it comes to servicing multiple government or military locations in the NYC metro area? Aside from a large support staff and highly trained group of field technicians, we are more than equipped to handle multiple, large locations throughout different counties or boroughs. Each can be setup with a separate schedule and we offer multi-location contract discounts on top of all of this. We look forward to hearing from you.
